The Garden at St. Therese

The Garden Ministry at St. Therese supports the ICA food shelf and Mary’s Place/Sharing and Caring Hands with donations of produce grown annually with the help of many volunteers. We are always looking for additional help and welcome individuals and families to join in the fun. You can join as often as you like but there is flexibility for those with limited availability. Tasks might include planting, tending, weeding, harvesting, delivering, or a number of other general garden duties throughout the season. No garden experience is needed!

Our garden ministry donates on average over 4500 pounds of fresh produce to local charities. Our donations of fresh produce fill a need for healthy and high-quality food for their clientele.

Garden Calendar/Key Dates:

Garden preparation and planting schedule (weather pending):

• Saturdays through May - spring garden plant and prepping, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Summer Garden Maintenance Schedule (all days/times weather pending)

• Weekly starting June 1st and continuing through early October

• Tuesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 pm

• Saturdays from 9:00 - 11:00 am

Garden Blessing: Saturday, June 14th after the 5pm Mass, Refreshments/Appetizers Served.
